Dear Air Sports Colleagues,

Sorry to take your time today, but I think this could be of interest to organizers and participants of FAI /IPC and CIVL events.
As long term former FAI and CIVL representative from Austria I am following closely international air sports matters. Since many long years my company Flugschule Koessen GmbH also runs an AXA Insurance Agency for Air Sports in Koessen, Austria. We offer service especially to hang glider and paragliding pilots as well as parachutists. Our insurance licence and our contract with AXA Versicherung AG allow us to operate in all EU countries as well as in Switzerland. Specialised in air sports we are quite successful in this branch and as such we have full substitution from AXA Insurance in all air sports matters.

To all pilots/athletes from EU countries and Switzerland we offer world wide coverage (except USA*) for Third Party Liability and Pilots Accident Insurance. (*due to Terror Risk Insurance Act 2002 – TRIA)To all pilots/athletes from outside EU and Switzerland we offer Third Party Liability and Emergency Rescue Insurance - restricted to EU and Swiss territory. This coverage has now been extended to all FAI sanctioned competitions world wide (except USA*).
This extension was requested by many international pilots, who are often unable to get sufficient insurance cover to travel Europe or participate in FAI comps. Many competition organizers seem also to have problems providing the requested insurance cover to allow these pilots to participate lawfully. So we decided to extend our service in favour of the pilots, organizers and also FAI/IPC/CIVL.
